Job Summary:
The
role holder will lead a clinical team in an UHCW in assessing patients in
conjunction with other members of the interdisciplinary team as appropriate
then ensures treatment is provided based on best practice. Supporting the
Centre Manger to ensure the highest standards of clinical, operational,
financial, and Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality governance within the
centre.
Within the Orthotic
department there
are a wide variety of MDTs and extended practice clinics which the role holder
will be leading on including, but not limited to
Paediatrics
Diabetic
foot
Foot
and ankle
Theatre
casts and removal
Gait
lab and surgical planning
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
Some of the key
responsibilities the role holder will have responsibility for:
Deliver excellence in clinical patient care to all service users
in accordance with the service criteria.
Line
management of the Clinical Team within their service, build and maintain a
culture which supports personal growth and
development providing mentoring support to less experienced orthotists,
graduates, and students; as well as guiding and supporting more experienced
staff.
Effectively manage clinical prescriptive standards in line with
company product matrices, and service budget.
Create effective professional relationships with key stakeholders internal and external to support the success criteria of the service.
Evaluate, encourage and support a culture of continuous
improvement and innovation within your service and the wider organisation.
The
role will be instrumental in helping to develop and implement service
improvements for the betterment of patients in the Coventry and Rugby areas.
The successful candidate
will join an enthusiastic and busy team, and be supported with local, regional,
and national training to develop their clinical skills to support the service.

Alongside
the specialist clinics, the role leads and supports the day-to-day delivery of
orthotic services within UHCW. This includes diabetic, MSK and general in and
outpatient clinics. There is opportunity to work across company networks and
groups including 3D manufacturing, scanning and clinical governance projects.
