We are currently seeking an experienced Orthotist who is looking for an
opportunity to be develop their career and be a part of our large and dynamic
team in Belfast.
The role holder assesses
patients in a variety of different clinics, occasionally in conjunction with
Physiotherapists, NHS Doctors and other members of the interdisciplinary team
as appropriate, they then provide orthotic treatment based on best practice.
To advance the delivery of
the Opcare orthotic service by embracing evidence-based medicine and the result
of Clinical audit in line with the requirements of clinical governance.
Main duties of the job

Some of the key responsibilities the role holder will have
responsibility for:
Independent and autonomous responsibility for
caseload of patients
Ensure the delivery of high-quality care for all
patients and the smooth running of the service
Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs)
Inputting on initiatives within the centre service
development plan
The role will be instrumental in helping to develop and implement
service improvements for the betterment of patients in Belfast.
The successful candidate will join an
enthusiastic and busy team, and be supported with local, regional, and national
training to develop their clinical skills to support the service. We aim to
deliver a first class service for users whilst applying the most advanced and
exciting clinical and technical solutions available to patients.
Qualifications:Either:
Certified Orthotist
HND Orthotics
BSc Orthotics/Prosthetics
Must also be fully HCPC Registered.
