You will take the lead in the service for clinical informatics, working directly with the service staff team and producing data for internal service usage and to fulfil local and national reporting requirements. The service is based in the very centre of Newcastle with good access to public transport links.
Main duties of the job
Job Purpose
To be responsible for the maintenance of quality and content of data held within the Sexual Health Service.
To be responsible for producing Service reports from INFORM as required and support analytical work of the business.
Act as a point of contact for all data enquiries.
Ensure that organisational policy regarding Data Protection and Information Governance is adhered to.
To collate and enter statistical information received within the Service and outreach clinics and using it to produce internal Service reports and statistics and Department of Health returns as requested.
To think creatively to develop, design or create ideas to promote the service and present data. Collect, store and present market data effectively using computer technology.
Analyse information and evaluate results and highlight issues to Head of Operations.
Assist with the layout and design of service messages and promotion via the website and be the contact for website queries and its update.
Required Skills/Qualifications
Ability to prioritise tasks and demonstrate organisational and time management skills.
Knowledge of data analysis and associated software / computer systems acquired through diploma or equivalent experience/qualification.
Ability to collate, analyse and present accurate data in a meaningful format
Ability to use analytical skills to identify issues/problems with data quality or changes in activity.
Ability to develop and produce performance reports to set timescales.
Ability to line manage and co-ordinate the workload of coding clerks.
Ability to design, draw and print graphs and illustrations and other artwork using a computer.
Ability to think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts for marketing and promotional needs.
