Job summary

Solutions4Health are delighted to be offering the role of Stop Smoking Adviser in Eastleigh. This is a Full or Part time fix term contract with a salary of £23000 .

This is a public facing community-centred role with a focus on helping people and will involve travel around South Central Hampshire. The successful applicant will be allocated company mobile phone and a laptop to enable them to carry out the role.

Training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

· Explain to clients the principles of Stop Smoking Services so that they can make an informed choice to stop smoking.

· Deliver a client-led treatment plan in accordance with national and local guidelines, effectively and professionally supporting the client throughout their quit attempt. This will include CO monitoring, the completion of accurate data to comply with Russell standards, and a comprehensive clinical record of weekly interventions.

· Deliver one-to-one, drop in or group stop smoking support sessions, ensuring ease of access for clients from local communities.

· Provide a high-quality, efficient service throughout a diverse range of community settings.

· Manage conflict effectively either in a group setting or with individual clients.

· Monitor outcomes of treatment programmes for their effectiveness.

· The advisor may potentially be required to work with complex health needs in relation to behaviour change.

· Actively participate in promotional events.

· Carry out any other duties that relate to this post.

The successful candidate will have;

Knowledge of behaviour change models and the problems experienced by socially disadvantaged sectors of the community.

A strong understanding of the impact of smoking on health is essential.

Required Skills/Qualifications

A Level or equivalent qualifications.

Knowledge of a specialist field acquired through relevant experience or further education background.

IT skills and experience with data inputting.

A certified NCSCT Practitioner is desirable.

Knowledge of sales and marketing is desirable
