ELLERN MEDE GROUP ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED CENTRE MANGER (REGISTERED MANAGER)

SALARY STARTING CIRCA. £70,000

We are the UK’s most specialist inpatient eating disorders team and our nurses play a vital leadership role on the wards, maintaining quality standards, responding creatively to new challenges, and ensuring that our patients, always receive the best possible care.

We have a staff team of approximately 350, working across multiple hospital sites as well as satellite clinics. Our expansion aims are designed to offer care closer to home for more patients. Outpatient and Day Patient or part time care programmes are offered by arrangement at all sites. We offer bespoke programmes for private clients.

Main duties of the job

For this role we seek a highly experienced individual to oversee daily hospital. You will be responsible for the overall day to day running and strategic direction of the hospital, supported by a team of central support functions.

Reporting directly to the Clinical Operations Director, our team of Centre Managers are responsible for providing strong and effective leadership to the onsite teams to ensure the integrity of all functions within the hospital

About us

Our current Centre Manager at Ellern Mede Barnet is taking on a new role within the Group, so we are looking for his replacement.

Ellern Mede Barnet is a 16-bed eating disorder hospital, with an adjoining step-down annex. We deliver highly specialised care to children and young people aged 16–25 years. We prepare patients to re-join the community and return home. We are rated GOOD by the Care Quality Commission.

Job responsibilities

A key element of the role will be maintenance of CQC and NHS contractual requirements and to ensure all clinical, regulatory, and service development targets are met including:

  • Safeguarding
  • Quality and compliance
  • Team Leadership
  • Learning and Development
  • MDT working
  • Liaison with central support services
  • Operational and financial effectiveness

You will also implement effective risk management and safety strategies and embed audit and clinical governance within the hospital as you will be responsible for the provision of a high-quality eating disorders service ensuring all group policies and procedures are adhered to.

Core Requirements

  • Managerial experience (preferably as a Clinical Services Manager / CQC Registered Manager) of leading a team within a mixed service (leadership qualifications are favoured)
  • A Nurse Qualification with valid pin
  • The ability to work as part of a large team
  • Skilled at leading by example whilst using own initiative
  • Experience of working to professional regulations and guideline
  • A strong understanding of the CQC Standards
  • Experience undertaking investigations
  • Experience of Complaints and feedback management
  • Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities
  • Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience in people management
  • Experience in recruitment processes
