We have recently gained a new package of care bringing many fresh and exciting opportunities to join our team in York.

We are looking for compassionate and committed Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about delivering the highest quality one-to-one care for our service user building positive relationships with them and their family while enabling them to live as independently as possible in their own home.

Our service user is an adult male, who lives at home with his loving family and requires support on a 1:1 basis from his care team.

He requires a friendly, confident, and positive care team to support him throughout the day and night, on a 1:1 basis in his family home.

He is an enthusiastic outdoor person who has access to a specialised wheelchair designed for outdoor adventures. Charity work is also a big interest for him, and he regularly pushes himself to the limit to raise money for the Motor Neurones Society.

Our ideal applicants will have a cheerful personality, whilst being confident, friendly, and understanding with a genuine interest in working with our service user and able to build positive relationships with him and his family.

Main duties of the job

Your role will be to assist him with his day-to-day routine while being able to promote his independence and meet his clinical and social needs, patience and understanding are an important part of this role.

Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.

We have the following shifts available;

  • Part time 2-3 shifts per week
  • Days- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • 9am-5pm or 9.30am-5:30pm
  • We are also offering Waking Nights and one Saturday per month for this position.

Weekdays: £15.00 per hour- Approx. £120 per 8-hour shift

Weeknights: £15.50 per hour- Approx. £124 per 8-hour shift

Weekends: £16.00 per hour- Approx. £128 per 8-hour shift

Bank Holiday £20.00 per hour- Approx. £160 per 8-hour shift
