Job summary

If you are an experienced Support worker/ Healthcare Assistant looking to expand your skills and knowledge into complex clinical care or if you already have complex care experience, this could be the perfect job role for you!

We are looking for compassionate and committed Support Workers/ Healthcare Assistants in Salford, who are passionate about delivering the highest quality two-to-one care for our service user, building positive relationships with them and their family while enabling them to live as independently as possible in his family home.

Our service user is a sociable young man in his 20s who lives in his family home in Salford, he requires support with his complex and clinical care needs on a 2:1 basis throughout the day and night.

Throughout the day you will be required to assist with social activities as well as meeting his care needs, this could include personal care, mobility support and attending to his clinical care needs when required.

As his dedicated support worker/healthcare assistant, you will play a big part in encouraging and supporting him to access the community and assisting him in enjoying his hobbies and interests such as, bowling, playing on his PlayStation, he particularly enjoys playing FIFA and going fishing.

He also loves to spend quality time with his family and watching TV. He especially enjoys watching soaps and his favourite football team Manchester United.

Main duties of the job

Throughout the night you will provide support with his personal care, repositioning, monitor and attend to his clinical needs as required. You will ensure his comfort, meeting his needs to promote a restful nights sleep.

Our Ideal Applicants will be pet friendly as there are pet dogs within the property

Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.

We have the following shifts available;

  • Part time Available- 2 shifts per week
  • Days- 7:00am - 7:00pm
  • Nights- 7:00pm 7:00am
  • Alternate weekends are needed for this position

Weekdays: £13.00 per hour (Approx. £156 per 12-hour shift)

Weeknights: £13.50 per hour (Approx. £162 per 12-hour shift)

Weekends: £14.00 per hour (Approx. £168 per 12-hour shift)

Bank Holiday £17.00 per hour (Approx. £204 per 12-hour shift)
