About the role: Associate Clinical Director
This role would suit a Senior Registrar taking a year out of
training or a GP with a license to practise wanting to expand into a different
role. You will need to have at least three years experience in your current
position.
The role of Associate Clinical Director will work alongside
all functions across Medefer (including Medical Directorate, Clinical
Governance and Quality Assurance, Safeguarding, Primary Care and Operations) to
support in ensuring that all patients served by Medefer receive high quality,
safe, effective, and compassionate health care.
Key areas of responsibility within the role will be within
the domains of clinical safety and support, quality improvement, risk
investigation and mitigation.
The salary for this role will be paid in line with national
pay scales relevant to your level of training and experience.
The role is remote working with some office-based meetings
required. The expectation is that the majority of the work will be done between
the hours of 09.00 and 17.00 with some evening meetings.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
Working with the Patient Safety team to support
both local and companywide investigations and processes including harm reviews.
Oversee the completion of mortality reviews.
To support the Medefer Safeguarding Lead with
investigations and the implementation of safeguarding procedures.
Coordinating clinical audits, both proactive and
reactive, into care quality providing feedback and escalating as appropriate.
Provide additional capacity to support clinical
administration as and when service requirements demand. This will also provide
insights into the structure and running of the organisation which will be an
advantage.
Support the prescribing pathway when needed in
prescribing medication for patients.
Provide clinical support (with support of the
Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director) during the week to non-clinical and
junior staff members.
Supporting implementation of new clinical
services including clinical pathway mapping.
Support registrars in conjunction with the
deputy medical director, operational and HR teams, including managing queries,
feedback and investigations into SEs related to registrars.
Support building and scaling processes
surrounding the roles and responsibilities covered under this job description.
