We currently have the opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Catering assistant to join our bank team at Sancta Maria Hospital, Swansea

Main duties of the job
Main purpose of the
role:
To support the Catering Team in delivering a
customer focused catering service throughout the Hospital following agreed work
schedules, methods and procedures in accordance with the National Standards for
these services.
Main duties and
responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of food
and beverages for the staff and patients within the Hospital
To be responsible for ordering of
patient meals and to maintain an effective system of communication with the
Kitchen and Nursing Staff with regard to patients dietary requirements
To assist with meal service at ward
level
Ensure compliance with all
legislation relating to food safety management
Store keeping including, checking
deliveries, storage and stock rotation
To ensure all catering areas are
cleaned in accordance with daily and weekly cleaning schedules
Care and safe use of catering
equipment
Maintain & replenish stock and
ensure that equipment is clean & well maintained
Disposal of waste in accordance
with HMT Waste Policy.
