HMT Sancta Maria Hospital are currently looking for experienced Bank RGN's to join our busy and diverse Outpatients Department.
The Outpatients Department is a dynamic environment and will offer you an exciting opportunity to use all your nursing skills. The Department facilitates a number of multi-specialty clinics, including Dermatology, Orthopaedic, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Urology and Cosmetic surgery. We are looking for a Full-time staff nurse to help deliver a high standard of evidence-based patient focused care.
We are only private hospital in Swansea offering a wide range of procedures carried out by a number of our leading consultants. Main duties of the job
The post holder will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude to working as part of a team ensuring a high standard of nursing care for all service users within the Outpatients Department. The post holder will act as an expert resource in the assessment and care of patients experiencing a range of symptoms. They will perform a range of diagnostic tests and clinical duties including venepuncture, visual acuities, visual fields, Uroflo ECG, assisting in minor procedures, and decontamination and reprocessing of flexible nasoendoscopes.
Applicants need to have good communication and organization skills, preferably with a proven record of working within an Outpatient or similar Department. A robust induction in to the department and training will be provided.

The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care with the guidance and support of more
senior staff. To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and provide cover according to experience for
any area specified.
The post holder will be accountable for their nursing practice, adhere to the policies and protocols of HMT
and the NMC. He/she will have a responsibility for their own personal and professional development and will
assist in the continuing professional development and overall performance of learners e.g. student nurses
and junior staff in the clinical area.
