Job summary

As Digital Project Support Officer you will work as part of a team focused on the delivery of digital projects. You will be required to provide project support on digital projects, support the digital strategy and work plans and play an active part in horizon scanning new solutions. A significant proportion of the team’s work focuses on delivering the Primary Care Digital First initiatives, supporting further digitisation and development of Primary Care services across Humber and North Yorkshire.

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract or secondment opportunity. (With current line manager's agreement).

Main duties of the job

The post holder will fulfil all tasks and work as part of the wider team across the Humber and North Yorkshire region. To meet the Digital needs of the Primary Care, the post holder may be required to work in other areas as appropriate as directed by their line manager.

The post holder will also provide administrative support within the Digital Support Hub to facilitate system-wide development across various Humber and North Yorkshire partners. This will involve administration for formal and informal meetings, day to day responsibility for coordinating specific departmental business administration tasks, as well as supporting functions through diary management.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Key responsibilities: -

• Provide project management for identified elements of the digital programme – in addition to supporting, facilitating, and monitoring progress of all projects across the digital programme. The postholder will also be expected to support performance improvement where identified.

• Provide high quality project management support for multiple stakeholders which will include administrative duties, project information, project analysis and documentation management.

• Overall responsibility for managing, maintaining, and developing the mandated project documentation and filing system

• Support the creation of a HCV Digital Hub, ensuring its portfolio is managed and delivered effectively and in a timely manner

• Where required provide supervision, training, and support to any future recruited Project Support Officers

• Participate in the facilitation and delivery of development workshops, through a variety of methods, taking an active and visible role in the planning, development, and delivery

• Provide effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally

• Identify potential improvements to projects, systems and processes, document and escalate these appropriately

• Assist with the project management and implementation of service developments, including taking a leading role in any necessary actions to support training and learning needs

Support the department’s procurement work, assisting in the development of market intelligence documents, drafting of tender submission questions, coordination of document management, administration of development workshops, meetings co-ordinating any resultant mobilisation workstreams

Analytical Tasks

• Support the team’s analytical work; ensuring that data is high quality and supporting the use of published data to raise quality standards.

• Responsible for analysing and reporting on information from a range of projects (e.g., performance/ evaluation), as well as other real time patient data such as patient satisfaction surveys and case studies

• To work with associated leads on the development of new working practices for services based on data obtained from services during service development work or national/published data/standards

Planning and Organisational Skills

• Support implementation of a wide range of large scale and often very complex projects/service development initiatives through timely and relevant information analysis and administrative support, in accordance with the agreed priorities of the team. Supporting the implementation of multiple projects at the same time.

• Support the implementation of the performance and administrative systems across the team.

• Organise and administer a range of meetings and/or events.

• Assist in the diary management requirements of individuals in connection with portfolios of work.

Physical Skills

• Keyboard skills and experience of using a range of software are required with a high level of accuracy for maintaining/ coordinating key administrative functions

Responsibilities for Financial and Physical Resources

• The post holder will be responsible for the care of their own equipment (for example IT, engagement resources, display resources, records) and on occasion care of equipment on loan from other agencies.

• The post holder will be responsible for the ordering of stock/ materials associated with project implementation and mobilisation as well as any resultant stock control.
