Finance Director 0.6WTE (contractor applicants can apply)
Pay range from £89k to £96k
incl. HCAS per annum pro rata, with option to increase to circa £100k for an
extraordinary candidate or competitive contractor day rate (Outside of IR35).
Newham Health Collaborative
(NHC) is a Community Interest Company and GP Federation for the 43 GP practices
in Newham. We currently have a turnover of approximately £8m
and a staff team of around 100 staff.
This is a great time to join NHC
as we look to expand the strong foundation built by the current Finance
Director(FD). The successful candidate will be working with established
finance systems and processes with a significant amount of automation
implemented by the current FD.
The post holder will be an
experienced fully qualified accountant who understands healthcare and the
primary care landscape but ideally will also have experience of running their
own business or the knowledge of how small company accounts are maintained. As
a Community Interest Company we are financially independent and are externally
audited.
We anticipate this role can be
managed on a 0.6 wte (2-3 days a week) but we are open to options around how
this is discharged. Flexible and remote working options are also available for
discussion.

Main duties of the job
This role is crucial to our
business development as well as ensuring our financial probity. As
part of our senior leadership team you will help develop and drive the business
overseen by our GP led Board. We have a small Finance team of 3.8 wte staff who
are experienced and dedicated. The team is supported by a strong senior
leadership team at NHC and a strong enabling board.

Newham Health Collaborative CIC (NHC) is a GP federation representing all the GP practices within the Newham borough boundaries.
This covers a population of approximately 400,000 patients. We are established as a Community Interest Company, wholly owned by our 43 GP practice members. We invest any surplus we secure into services for primary care and our patients.

- Experience of managing contracts and oversight of systems to ensure KPIs are met
