Job summary

The post holder occupies a particular position of responsibility and trust, as they will need to ensure the safe use of consistent messaging and be confident that attribution and authenticity is correctly determined. The post holder should have excellent organisational skills and be proactive and a self-starter working with good administration and presentational skills.

Main duties of the job

Communications

· Establish key messages for practices, partners and patients

· Support regular messages to ppractices, partners and patients in the form of newsletters, blogs and regular Q&A materials

· Support the NHC to ensure its web site is up to date advise and where agreed commission design and photography to create engaging and informative materials

· Build the NHC social media and on-line web platform – advise and where agreed commission design and photography to create engaging and informative materials

· Support the monthly GP webinar – book speakers and ensure slides and information is shared with the GP community

· Attend meetings and liaise with key staff in partner communications teams such as the LBN and CCG communications teams and ensure that communications planning is aligned with partners in LBN and the regional and national NHSE teams.

· Support NHC and wider CCG reporting to as to inform partners of progress and challenges

Patient engagement

· Connect and co-ordinate our patient engagement to inform our service development and our messaging.

· Represent the NHC in patient and public forums – ensuring that messages from these forums are relayed to inform NHC planning.

Newham Health Collaborative Ltd (NHC) is a GP federation representing all the GP practices within the borough of Newham, covering over 400,000 registered patients. We are a limited company, wholly owned by our 45 GP practice members. We provide services to these practices, our Primary Care Networks (PCNs) . We are a small, committed, and friendly team. Desirable

  • A degree in associated area such as Media, English, arts, or humanities course would be an advantage

  • Experience / Knowledge of web and social media platform management
  • Experience / Knowledge of events management organisation
