Job summary

The post holder will be a key member of the NHC Patient Services directorate, which includes a portfolio of patient services such as 7 day access to primary care, Covid-19 vaccinations and UTC/111 diversion services.

The role demands a high level of technical, administrative and communication skills that will support a number of different functions. The post holder will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of data to meet contractual KPI reporting and internal assurance processes. This will be delivered through the provision of appropriately formatted data sets and reports from which informed decisions can be made.

In addition the post holder will be required to undertake some administrative duties as required in support of service delivery.

This is a fast-paced role within a busy team and the successful candidate will be required to be adaptable, professional and confident when dealing with multiple and changing priorities

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will also support the Director of Patient Services to deliver continuous improvement to the service portfolio and the development of new service offerings.

Provision of timely and accurate information, producing reports using operational and management information to assist in meeting key business objectives.

Communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in relation to complex sensitive information, the contents of which may be ambiguous or contentious, also assisting with training of other staff and creating and explaining working procedures to others as required.

About us

Newham Health Collaborative Ltd (NHC) is a GP federation representing all the GP practices within the Newham borough boundaries. This covers a population of approximately 400,000 patients. We are established as a limited company, wholly owned by our 45 GP practice members.

Since 1 July 2019, all the GP practices in Newham have come together in ten Primary Care Networks (PCNs) covering populations of approximately 30–50,000 patients. These will also be the footprint around which integrated community-based teams will develop, and community and mental health services will be expected to configure their services around PCN boundaries. These teams will provide health care services to people with more complex needs, providing proactive and anticipatory care.

Candidates offered a role with Newham Health Collaborative, who are aged 18 and over and who will play a part in supporting patient care as part of their role will be required to evidence that they have received a complete course of an approved COVID-19 vaccine, subject to limited exceptions, by no later than 1 April 2022. This will include front-line workers, as well as non-clinical workers not directly involved in patient care but who nevertheless may have direct, face to-face and/or incidental contact with patients, such as corporate staff including admin, receptionists, specialist staff etc.
