Job summary
An opportunity has arisen at NHC
for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Finance
Department on a full time basis. This post is currently based at
Vicarage Lane, Stratford.
You will join the small Finance
Team which is responsible for the provision of financial support across the
business. Your focus will be on supporting Finance and other departments within
the business to maintain good financial management.
Main duties of the job
The post
holder will have effective communication and Working effectively under pressure
and multi-tasking plus the ability to work accurately and efficiently. You will
have:
AAT Technician level accountancy qualifications or equivalent (degree
level education or NVQ level 3).
Evidence of continued personal and professional development
Progression towards CCAB qualification progression towards CCAB
qualification
Applicants should be confident,
numerate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs and finance.
You
should have good IT and keyboard skills along with excellent communication
skills and previous experience of working in an office environment would be
advantageous.

Support the Finance Team in developing an
annual budget setting process for direct contracts and corporate functions in
order to achieve financial balance, maintaining full audit trails of the cost
implications of decisions taken during the preparation of the annual budget,
and feed robust information into the overall consolidated position.
Support the Finance Team in pricing new bids/
programmes and projects.
Support the Finance Team for the co-ordination of
monthly accruals, reconciliations, and journal adjustments including establish
monthly financial position for NHC contracts and corporate costs.

- Understanding of cost and pricing methodology

- NHS finance experience.
- Experience of using XERO financial accounting system.
