£24,000 - £28,000 - Depending on experience

Main duties of the job

The role of a Recruitment Coordinator is a new addition to The Confederation and ensures a professional, accurate, compassionate, customer focused, value driven workforce recruitment service is provided to all stakeholders. 

Working within the HR Department, this role will be integral to collaborate across all Primary Care Network (PCN) and Confederation teams to ensure that the recruitment strategy is fulfilled enabling PCN’s to optimise the roles available to them and enhance the patient experience in Primary Care within Hillingdon. 

The role will require agile working, in multiple locations including regular office presence and will include remote working. You may need to work across the various sites so frequent short journeys may be required as well as attending evening meetings as and when the need arises.

The Confederation, Hillingdon CIC works with general practice and other healthcare providers in Hillingdon to deliver high quality clinical services to patients. Our aim is to improve care for patients by working collaboratively across primary care and our partners as part of the Integrated Care Partnership. The Confederation team also work to develop and support individual GP practices, PCNs and Neighbourhoods and their changing needs. We are of the NHS but independent, innovative and transformational.

Job responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities 

Recruitment:  

  • Establish relationships with external partners that will enable recruitment pipelines to be quickly established.
  • Work to develop new recruitment initiatives alongside the Workforce and Training Team such as national and local careers events, links with local education establishments, links with neighbourhood partners to develop career pathways etc.
  • Be fully involved with the Workforce Planning discussions and ensure full clarity of recruitment needs over the financial year.
  • Facilitate Workforce Planning meetings with PCN Managers on a monthly basis and with Clinical Directors and Finance Business Partner involved on a Quarterly basis to ensure recruitment works to budget
  • Maintain all workforce data submissions in accordance to actual data
  • Develop a recruitment plan that identifies timelines behind each campaign to ensure all expectations are managed.
  • Ensure strong job descriptions and person specifications are provided with a clear understanding of the specific needs for the role. 
  • Work to develop a long list of applicants that match the profile required by the Manager to interview.
  • Develop a successful interview process that ensures the brand of The Confederation and our Network is fully understood and well sold.
  • Continually work to ensure there is a strong recruitment pipeline in place to support attrition and future developments.
  • Develop template documentation to provide consistent and professional standards of shortlisting, interview questions and tasks, robust feedback and engagement with the candidate. 
  • Be passionate about customer satisfaction and lead by example focusing on operational and commercial excellence whilst being able to recognise and drive forward a service development opportunity. 
  • Aim to provide a quick, efficient and effective recruitment service aligned to the values of The Confederation.
  • Optimise the use of PeopleHR and other Recruitment platforms to ensure a professional service is provided to the candidates and the management team.  
  • Develop Recruitment Reporting that provides a real time update on all candidate stages and pipeline management. 
  • Develop market insights on salary offerings across the North West London geography to ensure The Confederation maintains an attractive offering to candidates.
  • Continuously work with the Managers to fill their vacancies in a timely manner. 
  • Work with the HR Department to ensure an efficient offer and on boarding process. 
  • Obtain regular feedback from stakeholders and review services and processes as required. 
  • Drive engagement with other support functions such as Governance, IT and Finance to ensure that all recruitment is aligned to their compliance requirements.  
  • Support social media administration by contributing with vacancy optimisation within LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc.  
  • Collate active vacancies for Confed news
  • Work within area of responsibility making first line decisions, using own initiative and working with supervision but prioritising own workload effectively.
  • To provide cross cover for colleagues within the HR Team as required.
