Job summary

Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board are now recruiting for Medicines Order Line Operatives. Your role will be to take calls from patients requesting repeat medications, handling confidential information, and processing the requests efficiently and safely.

This exciting opportunity to join the Medicines Order Line team would suit highly motivated enthusiastic individuals who are driven by a passion to provide a safe, high-quality service for our patients.

Currently operating a hybrid working model with opportunities for flexible working arrangements, however all training will be provided on site at Ilkeston Health Centre or Scarsdale. Full training and support will be provided, with an experienced team of Medicine Order Line Operatives and Team leaders.

Full-time and Part time hours available, starting from minimum 3 days a week up to 37.5 hours (must include Fridays)

Main duties of the job

The Medicines Order Line Operative will be responsible for receiving telephone calls from patients and processing requests for repeat prescription items in a fast-paced environment. Working with 88 of our GP practices across Derby and Derbyshire they will deliver a safe, high quality, efficient repeat prescribing process thus reducing medicines waste.

The successful applicants will have excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with patient requests and queries in a confident, accurate and empathetic manner. They will be required to consistently deliver a high-quality service and the ability to meet expectations.

Full training and on-going support will be provided so experience of working in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

Previous use of clinical systems such as SystmOne and Emis are desirable however full training and on-site support will be provided.
