Job summary
A vacancy has arisen with the Digital Development team for a Service Delivery Manager with a background managing and delivering an IT Service within the NHS, preferably with experience of delivering within Primary Care.
The role will involve performance management of service providers and suppliers, monitoring of KPIs and levels of service and ensuring that the service being delivered to the Clinical Commissioning Group and our GP Practices remains in line with agreed Service Level Agreements.
Working as part of the Digital Development team you will also be expected to support other areas of the team where necessary and to maintain an awareness of the overall aims and objectives of the team and contribute to the development of policies and strategy.
Main duties of the job
- Managing the delivery of the CSU functional activity, including developing and managing the teams business plan, progress and reporting risk and issue management;
- Holding the CSU to account for delivery of routine and exceptional activities in the delivery of contracted services;
- Liaising with appropriate functions within the Organisation and the CSU;
- Managing all relevant corporate business returns, including planning and workforce returns;
- Supporting the Contract Management Board (CMB) as well as all other necessary project teams and working groups;
- Managing the equipment deployment plan for primary care stakeholders working with users to understand requirements and commission appropriate services from the CSU and other providers;
- Where appropriate, supporting third-party organisations engaged in the delivery of Primary Care and wider system working;
- Supporting procurement activity for equipment and services to deliver the Corporate and GP IT delivery plans;
- Identifying, collating and progressing to completion incidents and complaints received in relation to CSU activities;
- Monitoring the performance of the CSU against agreed key performance indicators, and taking appropriate action as required;
- Taking a lead in the coordination of training & development and recruitment activity across the Team and provided by the CSU;
- Providing oversight of and managing all aspects of the CSU budgets;
- Participating in contract renewal activities, as and when necessary.
