The Children & Young People's transformation programme is part of the Humber & North Yorkshire Health and Care partnership whose strategic vision is for our population to start well, live well and age well. This will be achieved through the development of integration strategies and embedding new approaches to support our whole population.

As a project officer in the children & young peoples team you will have an integral role in developing these strategies. You will have specific responsibility for development of the healthier together website and work with multiple stakeholders across our ICS geography as well as the web design company. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the centre of innovation in our ICS and support our journey in improving the lives of our people who live and work across our region. You will also be involved in other work-streams relevant to the role.

Main duties of the job

Develop relationships with key stakeholders including primary & secondary care, public health, education, social care , voluntary sector , clinical leads and the website company, undertake research to gather and collate information across the localities and embed within the website.  It is therefore essential that you have excellent IT skills and are familiar with website design and management.  You will work with clinical leads across the ICS in the development of patient pathways and must have excellent communication and project management skills.  You will be required to produce and carry out awareness campaigns, sustain, monitor and record impact of website , develop & present reports to the children & young people's alliance and be able to organise own workload

About us

NHS Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is the statutory body responsible for commissioning healthcare services for patients across the Vale of York. The CCG is dedicated to working with local people to ensure they have access to the right services, in the right place, at the right time. We represent patients registered with 25 practices located across York, Selby, Tadcaster, Easingwold, Pocklington and parts of Ryedale.

Nationally, proposals have been made for legislative changes to the structure of both commissioning and provision of NHS services from July 2022, leading to the creation of new organisations including Humber, Coast and Vale Integrated Care System. Job description

Job responsibilities

Provide excellent project management and co-ordination of a broad range of complex activities within multiple projects across a range of partners and stakeholders, many of which will require constant re-assessment of delivery timescales and plans where activities run behind schedule or delays are caused by intedependencies across plans.

Contribute significantly to the development and coordinated delivery of the Healthier Together work-streams in line with national and regional priorities with a focus on providing quality information linked to local provision.

Work closely with multiple stakeholders across the Humber & North Yorkshire both clinical and non-clinical to support in arranging for multi-professional teams to come together to develop solutions to complex problems.

Experience of team working and skilled in producing clear communications of project/programme requirements and deadlines.

Develop and maintain a mixed portfolio of core project documentation, working to agreed standards in line with PRINCE/MSP project management methodology commensurate with the scope and complexity of the initiatives being supported.

Monitor, record and report progress made within each project/ activity within the work stream ensuring reporting and appropriate escalation of key risks and issues impact on project success through the relevant project governance to the programme manager to determine corrective steps.

Manage and be accountable for clearly defined projects within the Healthier Together programme. This includes planning, supervising, and coordinating the projects and workload of specific Healthier Together subgroups in liaison with the subgroup leads, programme manager and clinical lead.

Set up and maintain project progress meetings at the required frequency depending on project stage, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, maintaining correspondence, distributing papers and tracking actions to maintain progress and momentum.

Manage own workload and make informed decisions independently on behalf of projects, seeking advice when needed. Has attention to detail, able to work accurately, identifying errors quickly and easily.

Responsible for carrying out research and development activities to ensure best practice and innovation is embedded across all aspects of the Healthier Together programme and used to inform future developments across the programme of work.

Maintain the Healthier Together website and have an active role in increasing the quality of content on the website.

Support the successful delivery of projects against identified goals. Enable projects to be realised on time and to deliver identified quality improvements. 

Regularly analyse and assess progress of projects, proposing changes where necessary and resolving issues or highlighting to colleagues where standards/deadlines are not being met.

Deputising for the programme manager or other management colleagues where appropriate.

To be comfortable negotiating with, influencing and motivating stakeholders on the importance of the project, to ensure successful delivery.

Coordinate stakeholder meetings and facilitate diary management when required.

Work with service providers and others to develop a culture of continuous improvement with an emphasis on digital innovation.
