Job summary

o Understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy in the NHS and London relating to vaccination.o Experience of working in general practice (practice, PCN, Federation etc)o Demonstrable competence and success in similar position or portfolio.o Proven success in scoping and delivering a portfolio of work - on time, according to specification and within budget, monitoring and reporting on risks and outcomes - often within complex and challenging environments.o Experience of relationship building and partnership working (delivering engagement and co-design) with a range of internal/ external stakeholders.o Strategic and operational thinking - initiative and ability to anticipate and resolve problems before they arise, bringing new approaches to old problems, demonstrate integrity and credibility in the provision of advice and support.o Ability to analyse complex facts and situations (e.g. contracts, data) and develop a range of options, resulting in informed recommendation(s) for decision.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will:

o work as part of the Prevention and Vaccination Team to support oversight and delivery of our vaccination priorities and key outcomes.

o Support the Prevention and Vaccination Programme Lead in the delivery of initiatives to improve ICB approach to Prevention and Vaccination.

o work to support delivery of the Public Health functions agreement - Schedule 7a - Vaccines and Immunisations programme (as detailed in the job description)

o take a population health management approach to the vaccination and immunisation programme and be firmly focused on tackling health inequalities in uptake in addition to maintaining a broader focus on prevention across all levels of the ICB.

o support the Prevention and Vaccination Programme Lead and colleagues within Borough Integration Units in the design and oversight of improvement initiatives at neighbourhood, place and system level

Essential

  • Educated to Degree level, or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in this area.
  • A good understanding of the NHS (System/ Place/ Neighbourhood) and the wider public sector
  • Excellent knowledge of project/programme management (principles/ techniques/ tools), service delivery, business processes, office systems, and ways of working.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.

Desirable

  • Project/ programme management qualification
  • An understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy in the NHS and London, and awareness of and implications for the portfolio this role supports/ the ICB.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience working in general practice

  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and balancing productivity across a number of workstreams/ projects
