Join us as a System Workforce Development Project Manager and help drive workforce development across North Central London (NCL).

Reporting to the Head of System Workforce Development, the postholder collaborates with health and care organisations across the North Central London Integrated Care System (NCL ICS) to support a sustainable, high-quality health and care workforce.

As a key member of the People and Culture Directorate, the Project Manager will lead and coordinate workforce development programs that enhance capability, maximise talent, and increase workforce flexibility across the system. A primary focus will be delivering the NCL ICS People Strategy by driving initiatives under the 'Workforce Development' workstream.

The role encompasses project management of programs aimed at equipping the workforce with the necessary skills to adapt to evolving care needs. This includes fostering collaboration among stakeholders, delivering impactful development initiatives, and ensuring alignment with system-wide strategic goals. The Project Manager's efforts will directly contribute to building a resilient workforce that can deliver high-quality care close to where it is most needed.

Main duties of the job

The role involves supporting the implementation and sustainability of the Oliver McGowan mandatory training programme, restorative and just culture, expansion of health and care apprenticeships and long-term workforce plans alongside related workforce development projects such as leadership and talent development.

Key responsibilities include embedding equality and inclusion for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and other protected characteristics into project design and delivery.

Core Responsibilities:

o Project Management: Develop project elements such as stakeholder mapping, project plans, and meeting preparations. Organise training sessions, stakeholder workshops, and ensure timely delivery of documentation. Oversee performance and align project outcomes with the North Central London People Plan.o Communication: Convey sensitive or complex workforce data to diverse stakeholders, negotiating and motivating teams to meet objectives. Deliver presentations and gain stakeholder buy-in for key initiatives.o Analysis and Decision-Making: Analyse complex information, balance conflicting priorities, and escalate significant issues. Present informed recommendations to stakeholders.o Planning and Organisation: Formulate and adapt long-term strategies to ensure project sustainability, manage budgets, and meet deadlines.
