Job summary
This role is part of the Borough Integration Unit (BIU). In NCL there will be 5 BIUs, which will provide the capacity and capability to drive transformation, integration and delivery locally. The BIUs are the focal point for ICB delivery, supported by and/ or interfacing with all other ICB functions. The BIUs deliver three key roles: designing change, delivering change and operations across four key activity areas:
Local commissioning - for children and young people and adults, covering both physical health and mental health. The focus is on the delivery of the ICB strategy and duties locally and on joint commissioning with local authorities
Integration - the development of our Borough Partnerships, Neighbourhoods, wider provider collaborations and interfaces. The work will include the arrangements to support integrated working and integrated care models
Transformation - in particular supporting change and innovation designed to embed population health management and to narrow inequalities
Operations - providing coordination and leadership on behalf of the ICB when there are significant delivery requirements, escalations or operational issues locally. This role provides senior management capacity for development, delivery and operations within the Borough Integration Unit with a particular focus on managing the arrangements for the Borough Partnership.

Main duties of the job
The postholder is responsible for ensuring that the Integration and Partnerships Senior Manager, Assistant Director for Place Integration, Transformation and Delivery and the BIU team are supported to deliver their key responsibilities. To do this the postholder will:
Co-ordinate day-to-day business requirements to ensure the portfolio of tasks/ projects is planned, managed and delivered effectively to meet, and exceed where possible, the complex business needs of the BIU and wider ICB.
Support and plan for communication and stakeholder management with a wide and diverse group of stakeholders/ organisations.
Support with ensuring processes are in place across the BIU for the management of operations, for example, that contract registers are up-to-date, formal meetings are scheduled for the year and that there is appropriate support within the teams to develop papers, meet deadlines and ensure delivery.
Deliver quality, professional and confidential support demonstrating discretion and business awareness at all times.
