Job summary

NCL ICB's Finance Directorate is seeking a high performing, ambitious individual to deliver quality services working flexibly across the finance function.

The post holder will support the Head of Financial Strategy to develop and implement local and NCL- wide strategies to ensure the effective development of the Integrated Care System (ICS) and the delivery of its financial objectives.

The post holder will work with other teams across the Directorate to assist in the consistency of planning and reporting to ensure information is properly managed and provide high quality projectand administrative support.

This post sits within the Financial Strategy, Planning & Performance function of the ICB finance directorate. Post holders within this function work predominantly with senior finance colleagues in Trusts in NCL and NHSE.

Main duties of the job

Key duties of the role

  • Analyse and report on financial and activity data.
  • Supports the day-to-day operations of the finance planning and performance function, including
  • the ICB medium-term financial plan and
  • working with Finance Business Partners to
  • inform multi-year projections of individual Providers and
  • model the multi-year impact of small-scale system change.

  • new funding mechanisms to enable transformation,
  • Multi-year system modelling and a
  • multi-year capital pipeline.

Key working relationships

  • The post holder will be required to maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including budget holders, other members of the finance team, and finance teams from other parts of the ICS
  • Operate effectively in a flexible and demanding environment and proactively engage with ICB, working with wider finance teams on all financial matters
