We are looking to recruit an exceptional Director of Analytics to join the Performance & Transformation Directorate. The Director of Analytics will lead the development of a system wide approach to the use of intelligence and analytics across North Central London. As a central part of this, the Director of Analytics will oversee and be professionally accountable for development of the ICS Intelligence Function and its transition to a population health approach, as well as the use of more advanced and automated analytics to deliver improved outcomes for our residents and reduce inequalities.
Working as part of the NCL ICB the Director of Analytics will work to build trust among the public, patients and health and care professionals in the use of data and analytics within NCL. This will include for the purposes of direct care, planning, strategy, transformation, performance, and research, as well as working with academic and industry partners. As the ICB looks to expand its analytical work, it will include the consideration of the ethics around data use.
Main duties of the job
The Director of Analytics will be accountable for the development and leadership of the ICS's Intelligence Function, and within this, the ICB's analytical teams. This will include development of an NCL analytics pipeline and plan and shift towards more advanced analytics to underpin the continued development and transformation of the health and care system. This will range from supporting major transformation programmes through to the provision of analytics and intelligence for neighbourhoods.
The Director of Analytics will be responsible for influencing and contributing to the ICB plans and wider system strategies of the ICS, with the aim of using analysis to drive evidence-based innovation in clinical outcomes, a reduction in health inequalities and achievement of better life outcomes across the ICS whilst ensuring that the ICS delivers against key performance measures. This will include creating and influencing leadership relationships and wide scale system change on the use of analytics and evidence-based decision-making to ensure that the ICB acts as an enabler to harness system development opportunities to improve the population health of the ICS.
As a system leader, the Director of Analytics will provide leadership across organisational and professional boundaries on data and analytics, to lead and facilitate transformational change for the ICS population through system development.
