Job summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to manage and develop the BaNES, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board Learning Disabilities and Autism Programmes and provide oversight of assigned strategic priority workstreams.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will lead projects assigned to them under the umbrella of the BSW LDA Programme. They key areas will include:
  • Operational level support for the BSW Acute Care Pathway, Prevention and Oversight (ACPPO) workstream including facilitating blue light and other escalation calls.
  • Providing expert advice across all the BSW LDA Programme
  • Leading the LDA and Neurodevelopment Pillar which includes physical health, waiting times and community provision
  • Providing support to other LDA programmes including People, Families and their Support and the LDA Capital programme
  • The post holder will be required to work across BSW and in partnership to ensure the system is able to meet the requirements set out in the NHS Long Term Plan and the Care Act 2014.
  • The post is responsible for providing professional expertise across the LDA programme including the NHS planning round, performance oversight and project delivery
  • The post holder will define current processes, facilitate discussions and advise colleagues as to how best practice might be adopted in the definition of future processes, document those processes as they are agreed and oversee their delivery.

Knowledge, Training and Experience

Essential

  • Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent
  • Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
  • Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
  • Should have an appreciation of the relationship between the Department of Health, the Strategic Health Authority and individual provider and commissioning organisations
