Main duties of the job

The role of the Deputy Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is an exciting new leadership role within the BSW ICB Medical Directorate. As a deputy CMO you will be an experienced, innovative and collaborative senior medical leader, skilled in systems leadership and partnership working. Leading with compassion and authenticity, in line with the values and behaviours of our system, you will work alongside the ICB CMO to deliver on the statutory responsibilities of the ICB and support the CMO in delivering the priorities of their role, ensuring safe and high-quality care that delivers improved outcomes for the people of BSW. You will provide leadership, support and direction within the Medical Directorate, our three Places, and across our Partnership, including providers, health and care professional (HCP) leaders, and clinical and professional networks.

Experience of leading highly complex and contentious quality improvement/clinical change and digital transformation at significant scale. Management experience at senior level in the NHS or other public healthcare related industry
