Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic newly qualified Pharmacy Technician or Operational Support Officer to join our Medicines Management Team, who is driven by a passion for high quality services for our patients.
You will be a self-motivated individual who is able to work as part of a dedicated team. You will need to be able to prioritise work and understand the importance of key performance indicators, to demonstrate the difference made by your interventions.
You will have excellent communication skills and will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve working as part of the multidisciplinary team within Primary and Secondary Care and working in partnership with the Quality team to review quality and safety and medicines management processes. This will include producing agreed action plans with recommendations in line with local and national guidance, which focus on NICE approved medications and the provision of approvals as well as audits and processing and reviewing data whilst still ensuring high quality, evidence-based prescribing for all patients.
You will liaise with GP surgeries and community pharmacies and care settings to improve the communication, around Medication related Incidents ensuring efficient monitoring and communication between teams to ensure patient safety .
