Job summary

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for to join the ICB's Business Intelligence and Analytics Team. We are looking for an individual who has excellent attention to detail to support the performance and contractual reporting for the ICB. You will be responsible for delivering reporting to support the monthly monitoring processes ensuring that any variance and anomalies are highlighted and appropriately challenged. This will involve understanding NHS contracting and performance needs working closely with teams across the ICB and wider system partners. This role will support compliance and provide clear visibility of delivery against the statutory duties of NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.

You will need the ability to read and digest NHS policy and processes and be able to efficiently assimilate this into reporting schedules. You will also be required to translate outputs into suitable conclusions and recommendations to inform decision-making .

Main duties of the job

The Junior Analyst supports the Business Intelligence and Analytics team and departments across the ICB. They will be responsible for producing briefings, analysis and reporting as required to support teams and programmes across the ICS to better understand and monitor progress towards commissioning and transformation priorities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities Develop and provide comprehensive high quality and timely information tools and reports to support commissioners in their decision making. Monitoring and analysis of complex data to support the ICBs commissioning priorities. Extract data from a variety of sources and provide data reports to key stakeholders. Information collection, data management and analysis, supporting the development of business plans (e.g. Commissioning intentions), identifying key delivery measures including transformational programmes together with the monitoring and evaluation of these schemes. Support the FOI Lead with external requests for information. Work with members of the Team to develop and implement project data collection systems that will provide accurate and timely data. Undertake project analysis as agreed with the Business Intelligence Manager. Contribute to effective information management within the team. Regularly analyse and report on complex data and monitor the processing of data and information. Ensure accuracy of complex data analysis by carrying out relevant control total checks and ensuring efficiently through the use of VLOOKUPs, filters and complex formulas. Support training and induction of new and existing staff as required. Develop and maintain databases as required. Maintain administrative and information resources. Undertake auditing of projects, services, initiatives. Carry out web-based and publications research. Regularly support and contribute to the development of key performance indicators for the successful achievement of QIPP schemes. Liaise with CSU teams, wider ICB teams and ICS partner organisations regarding unresolved issues. Provide report data to committees and stakeholders including GP Practices. Participate in relevant internal and external working groups, projects, meetings and initiatives to provide information and analytical advice to strategic leads.
