Job summary

An opportunity has arisen within the ICB for an Administrator to join the new Hull & East Riding Continuing Healthcare team.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and innovate Band 3 Administrator to work as part of the team to deliver effective admin support functions to the team to support its service delivery across East Riding and Hull for persons who may be eligible for NHS funding. The successful candidate will be joining a newly formed integrated team of clinicians, social workers and administrative staff.

Main duties of the job

This role will work with the Admin Team Leader, Senior Admin Team Leader and Operational Manager to assist in the administrative delivery of the 'end to end' Continuing Healthcare pathway.

This includes providing a professional first point of contact for the team and to manage enquiries, effectively and efficiently for all modes of incoming communications, escalating queries as appropriate.

Providing comprehensive administrative service, including production of minutes, documentation, correspondence, reports and presentation material.

Work with members of the Team to develop and implement data management systems that will provide accurate and timely data.

Maintaining paper and software-based information and administrative systems which supports the delivery of a professional support service.

As a member of the team, you will be working with a group of highly skilled people knowledgeable and passionate about the ICB achieving its statutory duties as set out in the national Continuing Healthcare framework.

You will work with families, our local authority partners and the wider MDT

  • Ability to communicate confidential information.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Able to prioritise demands and communicate accordingly.
  • To be able to work flexibly with internal employees of the ICB as well as within partner ICBs
  • To work unsupervised and demonstrate a high level of autonomy.
  • Demonstrate diplomacy, tact and assertive behaviour in appropriate measure and at appropriate times.
  • Able to work as a construct member of a team seeking to develop and refine internal business processes.

  • Previous experience of working in busy and demanding administrative environments providing a service to multiple users/ customers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a range of routine

Desirable

  • Knowledge of other Microsoft packages
  • Experience of SystmOne functions
  • Previous NHS experience

Qualifications

  • NVQ level 3 in a relevant subject (e.g. business administration) or equivalent experience of undertaking administrative procedures sometimes involving non-routine problem-solving in a busy work setting
  • Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act
  • Word processing to RSA 2 standard of European Computer Driving License (EDCL) or able to demonstrate appropriate level of skill
