The Catterick Integrated Care
Centre (CICC) is a transformational development between the NHS and Ministry of
Defence (MOD) that represents a groundbreaking vision to deliver seamless,
person- and family-centred care in the community. This innovative initiative
aims to provide integrated health and care services for military personnel,
their families, and the local civilian population, while setting a national
benchmark for collaborative healthcare delivery.
The programme is of
significant strategic importance and commands attention from the highest levels
of leadership, including ICB Executives, MPs, local authority representatives,
and patient groups. It is a high-profile project that reflects a shared ambition
to create a state-of-the-art facility combining the best practices of military
and civilian healthcare delivery while fostering new ways of working that can
serve as a model for similar developments nationwide.
The CICC will address the
growing demand for health and care services driven by the relocation of armed
forces personnel and the expansion of the local civilian population due to new
housing developments. This requires careful planning, collaboration, and
innovative solutions to meet the needs of a diverse and evolving community

Organisation Design and Transformation (OD&T) Manager will play a critical
role in shaping the organisational structure, operating model, and workforce
strategy of the CICC.
Main duties of the job
The
postholder will work closely with the CICC Programme Manager and CICC Clinical
Lead to drive the successful organisational design and transformation of the Catterick
Integrated Care Centre (CICC). They will operate effectively across both NHS
and MOD structures, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment between the
two organisations.
The
OD&T Manager will lead on planning, executing, and monitoring
transformation initiatives to ensure they align with the strategic objectives
of the CICC. This includes overseeing organisational design, workforce
planning, and the implementation of new operating models that support
integrated healthcare delivery. They will be responsible for tracking progress,
managing timelines, and ensuring that key transformation milestones are met.
A
critical aspect of this role is stakeholder engagement and change management.
The OD&T Manager will facilitate collaboration between NHS and MOD
representatives, local authorities, and community groups, ensuring that diverse
perspectives are incorporated into the transformation process. They will also
lead change management strategies to ensure a smooth transition to new ways of
working, fostering staff engagement and minimising resistance.
Current NHS employees will be considered on a secondment basis only, subject to agreement from their line manager. For non NHS employees, it is available on fixed term contract basis.

This is an exciting time to
join Humber and North Yorkshire ICB, working within the North Yorkshire Place,
the largest of 6 Places that make up the ICS. You would be coming to work in
one of the most beautiful parts of England with stunning coastline and two
National Parks. You would also be joining an experienced team in North
Yorkshire but will also be working across multiple agencies and partner
organisations including working very closely with the Ministry of Defence.

their dependents, as well as the general NHS patient population that will
grow due to new housing developments.
There
is national interest in the development and CICC is expected to be an
exemplar of best practice in integrated military and civilian healthcare and
in new ways of working. All partners across the NHS, MOD, and our communities
remain committed to delivering this new facility and to turning the vision
into a reality.
This
role will provide OD expertise to the CICC to ensure an effective framework
for continuous improvement which has a positive impact on the organisational
culture and the health and care workforce. This will involve leadership of
key OD workstreams, commissioning projects, identifying risks, considering
best practice and ultimately making decisions in the best interest of the
project. As part of this leadership role the post holder will be responsible
for ensuring the OD plan enables the system to achieve
its ambitions and objectives in accordance with its values and in light of
the strategic priorities. The roles core functions are as follows
Conduct comprehensive assessments of organisational
structures and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
Design and implement effective organisational frameworks
that promote integrated care and enhance service coordination.
Lead change management initiatives to ensure successful
implementation of new processes and systems.
Engage and collaborate with stakeholders across all levels
to gather feedback and drive consensus on organisational changes.
Develop and oversee training programs that equip staff
with the necessary skills to adapt to changes in roles and service delivery.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
to measure the effectiveness of organisational transformations.
Research and implement best practices in organisational
design, promoting innovation and improved patient care.
Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations
and standards in all organisational initiatives.
