Job summary

Are you an organised and proactive professional with experience of project management and a passion for improving population health? The Senior Project Management Support Officer role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact population health programmes across Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.

Working within the Population Health and Prevention Team, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of strategic projects and programmes designed to reduce health inequalities and improve outcomes for our population. You will work closely with senior leaders, programme managers, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project coordination, governance, and reporting.

Main duties of the job

Organise and manage Population Health meetings, ensuring agendas, stakeholder preparation, and action follow-ups are efficient.

Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and provide support to ensure timely delivery of project objectives.

Prepare concise communications and high-quality reports for senior stakeholders, the Population Health Programme Board, committees, and the ICB Board.

Handle sensitive and contentious information with discretion, ensuring compliance with policies and fostering stakeholder trust.

Promote equality, diversity, and inclusivity while encouraging innovation and collaboration.

Uphold openness, transparency, and candour in all practices to maintain integrity and accountability.

Ensure personal and team safety by adhering to the Health and Safety at Work Act and related policies.

  • Experience in a similar position within the public sector, NHS or local authority.
  • Knowledge of planning and processes in health systems.

Desirable

  • Project management qualification- Prince 2 or equivalent.

Experience

  • Significant administrative / project support / PMO / performance /commissioning support previous experience in a similar position in a complex organisation.
  • Experience of providing Board level support, overseeing, and coordinating agendas and distribution of papers and reports in a timely manner
  • Experience of working effectively with stakeholders and partners.
  • Demonstrable experience in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment and able to multi-task.
