Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to provide clinical leadership across the primary and secondary care interface in Teeswide, Hambleton and Richmondshire.

As Clinical Lead you will work with partners across organisations to identify and drive forward improvements that will benefit patients and clinicians.

You will provide leadership, establish strong relationships and use your influence to effect change.

A self starter, you will work as part of a wider virtual team of Clinical Leads across York and North Yorkshire and the wider ICB.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will:

Work collaboratively to deliver planning priorities including embedding new ways of working between primary, secondary and community care and to improve services including scoping diagnostic work, reducing interface bureaucracy, reviewing discharge procedures etc.

Build and develop key relationships and communication networks across primary and secondary care in the locality, and across the Teeswide network from a Hambleton and Richmondshire perspective.

  • Experience of working as part of a multi-professional senior leadership team and consistently puts clinical and care professionals at the heart of decision making
  • Experience of managing highly sensitive situations with patients, families, or carers and/or with wider agencies and demonstrably involves patients and the public in their leadership work
  • Experience of effective partnership working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Values diversity and difference, operates with integrity and openness
  • Works across boundaries, looks for collective success, listens, involves, respects and learns from the contribution of others
  • Uses evidence to make improvements, seeks out innovation

Desirable

  • Experience of working within Hambleton and Richmondshire locality as a GP

  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Excellent appreciation of the relationship between the ICB, NHS England and individual provider and commissioning organisations.
  • In-depth understanding of the NHS, social care, and local authority landscape and interdependencies

  • Postgraduate qualification
