About us
NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) is responsible for planning and arranging the provision of NHS services to meet the diverse health needs of a population of 1.7 million people. Our area reaches over 1,500 square miles and includes the cities of Hull and York and the large rural areas across East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire.
The ICB is part of the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership, one of 42 Integrated Care Systems (ICS) across England to meet health and care needs, coordinate services and plan in a way that improves population health and reduces inequality between groups. The Health and Care Partnership comprises of NHS organisations, local councils, health and care providers and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations.

This role will be offered as a secondment for applicants currently working within the NHS- please make sure a secondment is supported by your current line manager

The five best place to work
roles (three senior managers and two managers) will work collaboratively around

All roles within the team will
work to push our system towards a future where all colleagues are valued,
respected and supported to be their best selves so we can ensure we deliver
safe, high-quality and inclusive health and care services for the people of
Humber and North Yorkshire.
Those successfully appointed
to each role will be employed by NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care
Board (ICB) but will operate at system-level. This means youll work across a
large health and care system, in collaboration, to support all partnership
organisations to reach our system aspirations.
These will be varied and
challenging roles where communication and influencing skills are essential and
finding consensus while securing buy-in is a must. Youll need great project
management skills, be comfortable operating in a place where certainty is not
common and find energy in bringing people together, from all levels, sectors
and backgrounds, to co-design and deliver outcomes that support our people.
You will be committed to
reducing the barriers faced by minority groups within our workforce, to working
alongside people to challenge discrimination and to ensure we have
representation from all backgrounds, every step of the way.
A passion for supporting the
health and wellbeing of all colleagues is a must, as well as experience in
supporting the development of colleagues to reach their career goals and ensure
effective succession planning through inclusive talent management.
We are also looking for someone with a strong
background in leadership to design and deliver on our system leadership
development plan to build leadership capability and capacity.
We recognise that not everyone
will have detailed experience in all the areas were looking for, so if youre
a specialist in one area please do still consider applying. It is more
important to us to find the right mix of skills and experience than finding
someone who can do everything. We recognise it will take a team of diverse,
committed people to help us build our best place to work.
The roles will be based at one
of our ICB offices but we offer access to flexible and hybrid working and we
welcome applications for part-time or job-sharing arrangements.
