We have an exciting opportunity within Humber and North
Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (HNYICB) Nursing and Quality Directorate for a Deputy
Place Nurse Director for Hull.
We are looking to attract an exceptional
Nurse leader who will bring their unique professional nursing experience, informed
by expertise and experience of the health and care issues to underpin the
delivery of the Nursing and Quality agenda. The role will include working collaboratively
with clinical and non-clinical system leaders across the place and wider
Integrated Care System, transforming the way services are delivered to enable
better outcomes for patients and service users, addressing health inequalities.
The opportunity to develop and shape the
dynamic Nursing and Quality agenda at place will require an individual with
vision, excellent communication skills and Nursing Leadership experience to
drive Place engagement and collaborative working to enact sustainable change.
The post holder will be
responsible for the line management of some key roles within the Nursing and
Quality team and overseeing the delivery of their associated portfolios.
Main duties of the job
Working under the
direction of the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire Place Nurse Director, but
without close supervision, you will be expected to make autonomous decisions
and be a credible peer to Deputy Place Nurse Directors across the ICB.
You will be required to work across the ICB, leading on specific
portfolio areas relevant to your skillset to support matrix working. This will include,
but not exclusive to, the development, implementation and
monitoring of improvement programme plans and policies for the Nursing and
Quality Directorate in relation to nursing, quality, patient safety, clinical
effectiveness and patient experience.
You will be
expected to have the competence and confidence to manage priorities to ensure
deadlines are met and results are delivered both at Place and across the ICB.
You will be required to deputise for the Place Nurse
Director as a system leader and chair high level meetings across agencies and
professions relating to aspects of quality, clinical governance, risk and
safety. This will require excellent interpersonal and listening skills and an
empathetic understanding of other peoples point of views.You will work closely with the clinical
leaders and managers across the Place to develop integrated and collaborative
working with key partners and providers, ensuring quality and patient safety
are integral to the delivery of the ICB strategic plans and that the nursing
resource is used effectively to meet the needs of our population.

will work with the key personnel to facilitate the development and
implementation of systems and processes to monitor compliance and improvements
with national and local clinical quality, risk management standards and
regulatory frameworks.
You will work closely with the clinical
leaders and managers across the Place to develop integrated and collaborative
working with key partners and providers, ensuring quality and patient safety
are integral to the delivery of the ICB strategic plans and that the nursing
resource is used effectively to meet the needs of our population.
As the Deputy Place Nurse Director, the post
holder will bring their unique professional nursing perspective, informed by
their expertise and experience, on health and care issues to underpin the work
of the local Place and across the ICB.. The post holder will be accountable for
a portfolio especially in relation to performance which impacts on quality
against all ages national clinical and contracting standards, patient safety,
clinical effectiveness, patient experience, and the contribution of nursing to
the quality of patient care, including but not restricted to all aged funded
nursing care, safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, serious incident
management and infection prevention and control. In addition to providing nurse
leadership, the post holder will be required to provide broader clinical
expertise
across all professional groups, both within
the local Place, the ICB and across
partner organisations in delivering the strategic objectives for the ICB. ..
The post holder will work with the Quality
and Nursing team and clinical leaders from across the place system and
wider ICS, in transforming the way that services and
pathways are transformed and improved to
enable better outcomes for patients and address health inequalities. The Deputy
Place Nurse Director will work collaboratively with leader from across the system, in an an integrated approach to patient safety,
performance management, quality and the continuous improvement of services promoting challenge in achieving
better outcomes accordingly and in
undertaking deep dives analysis and thematic review of quality, performance and where improvements
could be made in respect of patient outcomes and experience. .
