Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen
for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is a finalist or fully qualified accountant to join our finance team. You will be supporting the financial planning and reporting
process for the Integrated Care Board (ICB).
Your financial and
analytical skills will be utilised to provide informed data to various
stakeholders within the system and NHS England.
Main duties of the job
Support
the Head of Financial Planning and Deputy CFO in managing the monthly and
annual planning and reporting process for the ICB and ICS
Build
strong relationships with wider system finance colleagues and NHSE England
partners.
Provide
analytical information to stakeholders to help inform the financial position.
Support
the planning process detailing how circa £1.4billion funding is allocated
across the system.

The post holder will be accountable to the Head of Financial Planning and Reporting for the successful delivery of a number of work areas to include:
Support in the management of the monthly reporting process by ensuring that all reporting of the financial position of the ICB and system occurs in a timely manner and is supported with high quality information analysis.
Responsible for co-ordination of commentaries and production of relevant appendices that support the monthly finance papers produced for the Board to ensure informed decision making on service delivery.

- Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
- Further training or significant experience in financial management or supporting change management processes.
- CCAB qualified accountant/ passed finalist.
- Experience in communications and stakeholder management.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite.
Desirable
- Experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring the performance of health services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management and/or financial information systems development.
- Workforce development knowledge and experience.
- A good understanding of the health and social care environment and roles and responsibilities within it.
