We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Applications Analyst to join our team and assist in effecting change through the implementation and support of a range of digital technologies.

NHS Gloucestershire has an ambitious digital programme supported by the Digital Transformation team. The programme supports the implementation of digital initiatives which align with local, national, and regional priorities supporting programmes of work across the wider Gloucestershire Integrated Care System

The Digital Applications Analyst will provide a proactive Digital support service to new and existing users of Health Care systems, inclusive of supported 3rd party systems within the boundaries of NHS Gloucestershire, e.g. Shared Care Records, Clinical Comms, web applications and data integrations. The intention is to drive maximum clinical and administrative benefit from digital systems. Youll have experience of supporting a range of digital technologies and of live, dev, test and train environments and product lifecycles. Youll need the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, with a good attention to detail.

Main duties of the job

The Digital Applications Analyst will provide a proactive Digital support service to new and existing users of Health Care systems within Gloucestershire, inclusive of supported 3rd party systems within the boundaries of NHS Gloucestershire, e.g. Shared Care Records, Clinical Comms web applications and data integrations. The intention is to drive maximum clinical and administrative benefit from digital systems.

The Digital Applications Analyst will be supporting the Digital Transformation team to advise, deploy and configure digital healthcare technologies, including shared care records, application web services, digital communications, collaborative technologies, and information systems to meet organisational objectives.

The key requirement will be to assist and support the delivery of the digital road map in line with national strategic development plans, as well as local service development plans linking into specific Local Health Community projects, providing high levels of support and guidance to appropriate stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Good knowledge of system administration, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Experience with software development methodologies and frameworks.
  • Good understanding of cloud computing platforms and support of Web Services / Applications / websites.
  • Knowledge of Service Management methodology (e.g., ITIL), with particular reference to Supplier Management.
  • Knowledge of current developments in information and communications technology.
  • Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks and industry standards.

  • PRINCE2 Foundation qualification.
