The Primary Care Programme team is looking to recruit a Project Delivery Manager to:

support the delivery of a number of key primary care programmes, which will involve working closely with borough-based primary care teams, as well as other NW London programme teams

provide project management capability to underpin projects and ensure they run effectively

manage the set-up, action log and minute-taking for key meetings where decisions are made regarding primary care strategy, across the 8 boroughs

NHS North West London comprises of 8 Boroughs: Brent, Central London, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.

Main duties of the job

The Primary Care Programme team works across the 8 boroughs to drive forward transformation projects that aim to improve performance, as well as offer patients a high standard of consistency, with local nuance built in.

The team works closely with the Primary Care Digital First team and the Primary Care Contracting team, and there are lots of cross-overs in the work of the three teams.

Providing high-quality project leadership and support to ensure that the assigned project, tasks and activities are planned, led, managed and delivered effectively

Producing and updating key documents (using the full suite of Microsoft Office tools) including programme plans, programme risk and issue logs, preparing risk reports, progress reports, and dependency logs

Attending and coordinating programme and team meetings, supporting forward agenda planning, coordinating contributions to papers, preparing papers and presentations, and ensuring that team meetings, programme boards and committees operate within organisational standards

Preparing presentations, programme planning, benefits management, knowledge management

Receive and analyse performance data, create reports and/or dashboards for relevant stakeholder meetingsReporting on behalf of the programme internally with other system programmes and externally- as appropriate

Where required, manage the programme support officer/ administrator and ensure that all administrative tasks are performed accurately and effectively

Have budgetary responsibility for specific programmes, this includes evaluating value for money of contracts, monitoring the performance of existing providers and ensuring that provider performance complies with contractual terms and conditions

Ensure compliance with Standing Orders and Standing Financial Instructions in the discharge of this responsibility.

Staff Management

Where relevant responsible for the line management of:

Line management of staff as and when directed

Ensuring staff are appraised annually, have clear objectives which link to departmental or corporate objectives and a personal development plan.

Identify training and development needs of staff in line with NW London objectives and ensure all new staff receive induction.

Ensure performance issues are dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner and follow NW London's Disciplinary or Capability Procedures where formal action is necessary.

Information Management

Responsible for the development of systems and frameworks to effectively monitor scheme delivery service provisions and to support future service developments

Research and Development

Maintain awareness and implementation of good practice and development from across the NHS for related programmes of work, ensuring local documentation reflects the latest national policy information.

Undertakes research, for example surveys, where appropriate within a programme of work

Policy and Service Development

Promote the adoption of best practice to support the delivery of the Service Transformation agenda in line with ICS thinking

Responsible for the interpretation and implementation of policies and guidelines

Reducing Inequalities

To ensure services are developed and provided in a way that provides equal access and care for all our residents
