Job summary
NHS Englands data for research and development (R&D) directorate put out a funding call for regions across England to establish a sub-national secure data environment (SNSDE), the investments will be made over a period of 3 years. London put out a bid to establish the London SNSDE which has been successful, this environment is now live with 2.7 million populations from North West London and we are looking to scale this up to London over the course of this year.
We are looking for a strong technical leader who can lead the conversations with other parts of London and support shaping the technical architecture of London SNSDE to meet the service needs. The post holder will be leading technical architecture discussions on behalf of London SDE with the national team and will be contributing to the technical policies.

With thorough understanding of common data models, understanding of health and care datasets
Strong technical skills and ability to lead the technical delivery of the programme.
Ability to review and adapt to new technologies thats available in the market.
Ability to bring options appraisals and technical evaluations for new products and helping shape the business case to gain approval through the system.
contribute to the implementation of complex information projects within this programme of delivery
Interpret client requests and develop local Statements of Work
Manage the budget for the programme and the shape the team required to deliver the programme.

Strategic focus
To lead the development of the strategic plan for the data and solution programme for London, bringing together a collective view of the outcomes, resources and expertise needed to meet the needs of the health system in London.
To lead and maintain the planning of outcomes for the London data and solution landscape, ensuring that each platform has the appropriate capabilities to enable the transformation of the London region.
To lead the test and quality assurance strategy for the London data and solution programme(s). Make sure that all data programmes are continually monitored and measured for success.
To lead the creation of the London SNSDE roadmap and portfolio so that consistency, standardisation, gateways and assurance is in place for all London analytical use cases.
To lead the strategic delivery and financial planning for the London SNSDE outcomes. Turn the strategic goals and objectives into actionable plans.
To present highly complex information about projects, initiatives and services to a wide range of stakeholders in a formal setting and at board level.
To develop relationships with provider partners technical teams where necessary and identify opportunities for common ways of working i.e. information models, coding standards, data quality etc.
