This role involves close working with the NHS and Brent Council to support the Brent Borough Based Partnership. The post holder will work with analysts and those leading transformation and service planning to deliver the data and analytical requirements to improve health and care.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who is committed to improving population health and tackling health inequalities, inquisitive about health challenges, and able to see how data and evidence can be used to address these.
They will be experienced in developing high-quality research which supports evidenced-based decision making and puts residents and patients outcomes at the centre. Substantial experience of analysis and interpretation of population health and NHS datasets is required.
The postholder will be able to communicate complex and technical methods and findings clearly to a range of audiences. They will be collaborative and engage proactively with a range of stakeholders.
The post holder will be part of a dynamic business intelligence team that is dedicated to improving population health using data and analytics. NHS North West London Integrated Care Board (NHS NWL ICB) is a statutory body responsible for planning and allocating health and care resources to improve the lives of people in eight boroughs across North West London: Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.

The post holder is expected to develop and deliver the analytical services required for Brent borough based partnership and embed a population health management approach within the work of the partnership.
Strategic focus
Provide analytical insight to support the objective of the BBP priorities adopting a population health management approach
Assess the information needs of place-based care and delivery and ensure reporting systems meet these needs and to review these needs on a regular basis.
Advise and inform BBP director and senior leaders in the use of information in decision- making, planning, performance managing, commissioning and population health management.
Present highly complex information about projects, initiatives and services to a wide range of stakeholders in a formal setting and at board level.
Develop research which supports evidenced-based decision making and puts resident outcomes at the heart of what the partnership does
Operational focus
Co-ordinate data requirements with the data management team and ensure data required for analytics is available
Develop the analytical products in a range of different formats i.e. tableau dashboards, excel dashboards, Power BI dashboards, data and intelligence packs
To work with BI analysts to develop and deliver timely and accessible data and information that supports place-based working
To support the place-team to scope and brief effectively where ad hoc analysis is required from the BI team
To work corporately to support the Business Intelligence function
