Job summary

Are you an experienced registered health care professional or change manager looking for an exciting opportunity to develop you skills and knowledge and support the delivery of diabetes care in North West London?

The North West London diabetes programme team is looking to recruit a skilled and dynamic team member to lead on a review of our diabetes inpatient specialist nursing provision.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will lead on engaging and working with key stakeholders to agree a core minimum offer (as per national guidance) and ensure sustainability plans are in place for future delivery against this. Whilst not essential the post holder should ideally have a clinical background (e.g. diabetes nurse), and will need to have demonstrable experience of supporting project delivery. They will bring excellent organisational and leadership skills, have an excellent knowledge of project life cycle and associated tools and the ability to work collaboratively both within the team and with colleagues across the ICS. They will have excellent communication skills and a proven track record of working to tight deadlines.

Please note that this is a part time role (0.8WTE/30 hours a week)

The role will have line management responsibility for a part time B6 senior project officer, providing advice and support to ensure agreed outcomes are delivered

Knowledge and experience:

Demonstrable knowledge, experience and history of working with provider organisations, in particular secondary care/acute hospital trusts

Excellent understanding of change management processes, principles, methodologies and tools

Excellent understanding of health inequalities and population health approaches

Given the focus of the role in clinical settings a clinical background would be advantageous, although not essential.
