Suffolk
and North East Essex ICB are seeking a Quality Lead to join their Childrens
Quality and SEND team.
The
role will support the provision of assurance that our services are compliant,
safe and delivering high-quality care to our children and young people.
You
will be a qualified health or social care professional with relevant experience
of working in a senior clinical role. You will need to demonstrate your
knowledge of clinical practice, risk management, and service delivery, and your
skills in working in a supportive and collaborative way. We work in an
integrated way across organisational boundaries with colleagues in Health,
Education, Care and external stakeholders to drive forward positive improvement
and make a difference to the lives of the children, young people and families.

The
postholder will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to operate

health inequalities.
Main duties of the job
- Be responsible for overseeing quality improvements programmes to support the implementation NHSE Long Term Plan and the SNEE ICB Joint Forward Plan.
- Be a budget holder: Signs off expenses; orders supplies; oversees management of budget.
- Ensure a systematic approach to the continual improvement of quality and patient safety in commissioned services across the local health economy.
- Develop and use processes and systems to ensure that the ICB holds providers to account for clinical effectiveness, patient safety and patient experience.
- Develop and operationally implement the quality agenda on behalf of the DDoN for Start Well.
- Understand national policy and strategy in specific areas for local application, to set goals and standards for the management of performance.
About us
The NHS Suffolk and North-East Essex Integrated Care Board
(ICB) plans and buys healthcare services for our population. This function is
commonly referred to as commissioning.
To do this, we work within a budget of around
£1.5 billion, which is set by NHS England, and work closely with local
government and the NHS providers in our area. Our performance is judged by how
well our local health and care system as a whole is working, including the
health outcomes of our communities.
The ICB has delegated some authority to the three
health and wellbeing alliances that operate in Suffolk and North-East Essex to
