Job summary
The Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (SNEE
ICB) are looking for a registered nurse who is committed to supporting the
needs of Children in Care, Care, Care leavers and in Safeguarding Children. The
post holder will be part of a Designated Professionals team and lead in the
ensuring the health needs of Children in Care and Care Leavers are met within
the Suffolk area of SNEE ICB. They will
be play a leading role in the Multi-Agency response and planning for this group
of young people. They will be knowledgeable about Child safeguarding and be confident
in supporting health colleagues in their safeguarding responsibilities. The
post holder will lead on training and development. They will be confident in
their communication skills across the spectrum of individuals and audiences.
They will represent the ICB at Board level meetings. They
will be a leading role in developing the ICBs health infrastructure to meet the
needs of the young people. They will undertake audits and reviews. They will be
part of multiagency reviews and development. This is a leadership role across
all partner agencies.
Please note, due to the ongoing cost reduction programme and restructure underway at SNEE ICB (due to end in Summer 2024), prior consideration for this role may be given to existing staff who are affected by this programme and this role may be removed from the recruitment process at any time.
Main duties of the job
All duties and responsibilities will be
aligned with your designated portfolio of services. Working within the ICB
Safeguarding team across the footprint of SNEE ICB. This postholder will
predominately have responsibility within the Suffolk area of SNEE ICB.

Undertaking a
highly strategic overview of services for Looked After Children (children in
care), Care Leavers (CL) and safeguarding children (SC).
Through commissioners, support the development of and monitor a
dedicated health service in Suffolk which meets the national statutory
requirements for CIC, CL and SC, identifying gaps in service provision and
provide commissioners with relevant information that supports the commissioning
process.
Participate in the planning, commissioning and procurement to
transform health services for children through strategic partnerships and other
policy making forums ensuring that the needs of CiC and SC are at the centre of
all planning arrangements.
