We are looking for
someone to join the team who will bring their leadership, planning and delivery
skills to lead the Nursing, AHP and Advanced Practice teams to deliver the
education and training to develop primary care workforce. Working as part of the SNEE Training Hub Team you will help to
develop practices and PCNs
to become learning
organisations and support the development of multi-disciplinary teams to ensure
the population across Suffolk and North East Essex can access high quality appropriate
patient care.

Main duties of the job
Promote and advocate all multi-professional roles within,
Primary Care Networks, and SNEE ICB Partnerships, representing SNEE Training
Hub at key strategic local, regional, and national meetings.
Develop delivery plans for each aspect of the work, including
but not exclusively the Fellowships/Preceptorship Programmes, Practice Based
Education, the Training Nurse Associate programme, Advanced Practice and AHP
roadmaps alongside other providers in Suffolk and North East Essex.
Take a lead in delivery
of these programmes working alongside team members who support nursing/AHP/AP
liaising with relevant PCN/ICB workforce leads.
Keep abreast of relevant
and emerging developments which have an impact the primary care workforce and
take a lead in progressing future opportunities.
Work with the Training Hub
GPN/AHP/AP Education Leads to build capacity to support learning in practice
settings including support for existing and potential mentors to facilitate
pre-registration placements in primary care liaising with local Higher
Education Institutions and other training providers.
Work closely with other
leads within SNEE Training Hubs to support commissioning of CPD activities for multi-professional
leaners.
Develop, participate,
and evaluate training packages in collaboration with other disciplines to
facilitate inter-professional working.

Training hubs have been rolled out across the country to
meet the educational needs of the multi-disciplinary Primary Care team and
support the development of our current and future workforce.
Training hubs are tasked with not only ensuring the
delivery of quality education, training and support for our existing workforce
but also supporting workforce planning (including recruitment, retention and
return of all staff groups) and are an essential vehicle of workforce
transformation.
As part of this remit, training hubs are tasked with
supporting the training of our future workforce and facilitating the
development of new and emerging roles. Training hubs aim to bring together NHS
organisations, community providers, local authorities and education providers
to deliver a broader education platform than the more traditional single
approach. Every
Primary Care Network (PCN) will have access to training hub resources.
This is a strategic role combining
leadership, planning and delivery skills to champion and develop nursing/
Allied Health Professional and Advanced Practice roles across Suffolk and North
East Essex as part of Suffolk and North East Essex Training Hub
There is opportunity for a senior nurse
or AHP to come on board with the Training Hub to lead the strategic planning
and support the development of career pathways for the clinical workforce in
SNEE, with particular focus on retention of current workforce, for the nursing/
AHP/AP workforce across SNEE.
The role will require the post holder to
work collaboratively with the GP Clinical Lead and Non Clinical Lead to
identify opportunities to develop multi-disciplinary learning that will benefit
the development and delivery of patient care across Suffolk and North East
Essex.
This is a unique opportunity to develop
new career pathways through the development of apprenticeships for existing
staff but also as a recruitment pipeline from the local communities into health
and social care. Exploring opportunities
to develop new partnerships with local further education colleges, higher
education institutes and training providers to offer recruitment pathways which
are more inclusive enabling the workforce to better represent the local
population.
The successful applicant will extensive
experience in supporting the nursing/AHP/AP workforce and be an experienced
system leader. They will feel passionately about equipping and enabling nursing,
AHP, AP and additional roles to play a larger part in leading local health
services. They will have an excellent track record in delivering on projects
and initiatives as well as engaging and working flexibly with a wide range of
stake holders.
The post holder will be a senior member
the developing SNEE training Hub Team and will work with wide range of
clinicians and managers, as well holding line management responsibilities for
their team. They will be based within Suffolk and North East Essex but will
work closely with other locality training hubs within the East Anglian region.
