We are seeking an experienced and dedicated registered Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic Medicines Optimisation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical services, supporting both clinical and operational aspects of the team. The post holder will be part of a team who make a significant contribution to improved health outcomes, cost effective medicines use and patient safety, and empower clinical teams to make a positive impact on communities.

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for decisions made during the course of duties, seeking guidance and escalating issues where appropriate.
Assist with the delivery of project plans and workstreams, as directed by line manager and raising any issues with delivery to line manager.
Supervision of less experienced team members.
Responsible for the monitoring of one or more budget.
Provide technical support with the implementation of the medicines optimisation and action plans.
Responsible for daily oversight and supporting processing for funding requests for high cost drugs (HCDs) and medical devices within set timescales in accordance with locally agreed pathways, policies and procedures.
Provide advice for HCD related queries and complaints. Document all queries and responses for future reference, liaise with pharmacists to resolve queries.
Support the development and maintenance of prior approval process and documents for HCDs.
Provide technical support to the system in tracking efficiency and performance metrics, specifically for HCDs, this includes HCD invoice validation process and associated challenges and monitoring the usage of HCDs drugs.
Keep up to date with relevant guidance on HCD, adhere to all local policies and processes.
