About us

Mid and South Essex ICB is a statutory organisation responsible for the planning and delivery of local health and care services, across Mid and South Essex and is part of the wider integrated care system. Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) are partnerships of health and care organisations that come together to plan and deliver joined up services and to improve the health of people who live and work in their area. The headquarters for the organisation is Phoenix Court, Basildon, but there is a hybrid model of working, which includes working across Mid and South Essex and home working.

We are passionate about creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity. We know through experience that the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds create a stronger and more creative work environment that delivers better patient outcomes. We welcome applications regardless of peoples age, disability, sex, gender, identity and gender expression, sexual orientation, race or ethnicity, religion or belief. The ICS has a bold ambition to deliver improved outcomes for our 1.2m population through our four Alliances, and we are placing clinical and professional leadership and the voice of our residents at the heart of realising this ambition.

Assisting in developing a service integration delivery plan, including the work and health measures announced in the Spring 24 budget, and making links with other opportunities, including the levelling up and devolution agenda.

In addition to the healthy work programme, the post holder would also assist with the wider healthy programmes of work (Healthy start, healthy hearts, healthy minds, healthy homes and healthy weight) as required. They may also be required to support broader prevention and health inequalities priorities across the ICS.

The post holder will project manage assigned projects to deliver the desired outcomes in accordance with quality, budget, and timescale specifications, thus performing a key role in keeping the projects/programme on track to meet the objectives.

This will involve:

  • Support local engagement events through Alliances, Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INT) and local government, to increase engagement of residents and partners in activities to support Healthy Work.

COMPETENCY BASED KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Project Management, Planning, executing, and monitoring the project development process to ensure it stays on track and meets objectives. Lead on priority projects to improve health and/or reduce health inequalities working with partners to ensure they are appropriately planned and executed.
  • Support planning for the MSE ICB WorkWell programme to understand needs and identify opportunities for strengthening further integration of work and health services.
