We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Marketing & Communications Officer to play a key role in this programme by developing and delivering an attraction strategy for Health Care Assistants, creating a strong employer brand and showcasing the ICS as a great place to work. Working collaboratively with the ICB Communications team and both Trusts internal marketing and communication teams, the postholder will be responsible for promoting the internal and external image of the HCA recruitmenthub, developing trust and credibility with managers and candidates.
Hybrid working.
Position will be offered as a secondment if coming from an NHS Organisation.
Position will be offered as a fixed term contract if coming from outside organisation.
Main duties of the job
Our successful candidate will bring a wealth of passion and creativity, and will have the communication skills to inspire, motivate and engage potential applicants, our existing HCA workforce and those New to care into HCA roles.
You will be an innovative thinker, committed to creating compelling recruitment and retention campaigns, delivering against the objectives of the HCA academy through creative and audience led plans.
Your primary focus is on developing and delivering marketing campaigns, creating marketing materials and working across digital platforms to inform and promote through compelling content both for internal communication and external attraction.
You will need a good understanding of the marketing mix, excellent copy writing skills, good knowledge of using on and offline marketing channels to create a compelling campaign, and how to analyse as and when needed. You will also be experienced in and passionate about engaging audiences through video, graphics, social media, photography and animation and have the technical skills to create digital and offline marketing assets. An understanding of promoting this project through internal channels, utilising the communications teams expertise is also an important part of this role.

Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) are partnerships of health and care organisations that come together to plan and deliver joined up services and to improve the health of people who live and work in their area. The headquarters for the organisation is Phoenix Court, Basildon, but there is a hybrid model of working, which includes working across Mid and South Essex and home working.

The HCA Marketing and Communications Support Manager will sit within EPUT as part of a centralised resourcing team that will support recruitment and retention initiatives on behalf of the ICS. Bringing a wealth of creativity and passion, the post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering an attraction strategy for Health Care Assistants, creating a strong employer brand and showcasing the ICS as a great place to work.
With support from the ICB Communications team and both Trusts internal marketing and. communication teams, the postholder will be responsible for promoting the internal and external image of the HCA recruitment hub, developing trust and credibility with managers and candidates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The postholder will lead on all marketing, campaign, communications and engagement activity relating to the recruitment and retention of Health Care Assistants and will drive the development and the delivery of the marketing and brand plans by:Producing and managing a programme of recruitment campaigns targeting local workforce, generating awareness and supporting new to care into HCA Roles
- Developing a strong employer brand and actively promoting the ICS as an employer of choice for all Health care assistant roles.
- Plan and develop a consistent approach to marketing and promotion including the use of both above the line and below the line marketing channels.
- Provide advise and expert knowledge to the Health & Care Academy Team in order improve the design, content and layout of the HCA section of the Our People, Your Future website.
- Design and produce content, marketing and event collateral for the promotion of recruitment events, ensuring that information is well presented and easy to access for all appropriate audiences.
- Lead on the commissioning and development of assets including video communication materials for use in campaigns and storytelling for use across digital platforms in line with brand guidelines, working with internal communications and external creative and media agencies.
- Promote the positive internal and external image of the HCA programme and the centralised recruitment hub with staff and stakeholders, building credibility with recruiting managers and applicants
- Responsible for marketing budget and for evaluation of campaigns monitoring return on investment.

- Act as a subject matter expert providing ongoing advice and insight on all online and offline marketing activities to relevant stakeholders when requested within the project scope.

- Identify opportunities to engage all stakeholders and service users with our brand and managing the commissioning, development and delivery of brand assets, communications and content.
