Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Business
Manager to provide comprehensive Business and Project Management support to
the Chief Executive of Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board. The role
will also support the ICBs Chief Executive in their wider Integrated Care
Partnership leadership role. This will include:
Ensuring effective operation of the Chief Executives
office, providing project management of specific ICB-wide projects on their
behalf. The role will also support the Director of Corporate Services in
ensuring the highest professional standards are maintained across the organisation.
Ensuring the planning and delivery of the Chief Executives
responsibilities by creating and implementing robust systems and processes,
co-ordinating leadership meetings and managing follow-up actions.
Participating in relevant internal and external working
groups/projects, services and initiatives to provide information and
analytical advice and expertise.
You will work closely with the Director and Associate Director of Corporate
Services to ensure that there is always effective executive level business
management cover for the Chief Executive and Executive Directors.
You will have excellent business management skills with an
ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Hybrid, which includes working from Phoenix Court, Basildon and other sites across Mid and South Essex.
Main duties of the job
Develop and provide a new model of business support which makes the best use of the Chief Executives resources, time and effort to maximise delivery. This includes effective business management and project management.
Identification of key business issues and ensuring actions are identified, monitored and completed accordingly.
Prepare presentations and reports at final draft stage, maintaining the highest levels of professional standards.
Provide detailed reports summarising status on issues, appraising outcomes, and providing progress report as required.
Provide co-ordination of internal and external working groups as required and provide recommendations on the appropriate executive level attendance. Ensure all these meetings are covered and respond promptly to requests for ICB attendance. Attend to take formal minutes / decisions / actions as required.
Create and communicate key messages to support effective decision making at a very senior level. This will require analysis, interpretation and communication of complex information to a wide range of audiences including the Executive Team and Board. Make effective decisions on the relevance of information to be communicated and where gaps are identified, use knowledge and skills to address this to provide a complete picture.

- Develop high level induction programmes for members of the ICBs Executive Team and ensure these are effectively implemented, and outcomes acted upon.

- Develop policies and procedures to support administrative and governance processes across the ICB.
