Job summary

An exciting vacancy has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Interim Programme Manager to join Mid and South Essex Partners to develop and implement transformation programmes across Mid and South Essex Integrated Care system (ICS). The role will have significant exposure to Executive level staff across the system, requiring the aptitude to influence systems and work across multiple systems.

Predominantly remote but may need to travel to HQ / provider sites for specific programmes

Main duties of the job

The role will support delivery of transformation programmes across Mid and South Essex ICS.

You will contribute complex project management expert knowledge and experience in guiding others through the challenges of service transformation projects with complex stakeholder management.

The aim will be to provide programme management support to key workstreams across the mid and south Essex system.

Success in the role depends on promoting excellent teamwork with clinical leads and colleagues across Mid and South Essex ICS.

It is important that you are adaptable to changing circumstances and agile working. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and have a flexible approach to work.

The Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System will comprise the Integrated Care Board (ICB), which is the statutory body for the NHS, and the Integrated Care Partnership (ICP), which is a committee of the ICB, and brings together key health, care, community and voluntary sector organisations across the area.

The ICS has a bold ambition to deliver improved outcomes for our 1.2m population through our four Alliances, and we are placing clinical and professional leadership and the voice of our residents at the heart of realizing this ambition.

The post holder will support the Portfolio Director and Associate Portfolio Director to lead and manage the creation, continuous improvement and consistent use of programme management methodologies, governance and standards across the portfolio, setting and communicating processes and standards; and embedding good practice.

The post holder will set and deploy standards for the delivery of system wide projects and programmes ensuring that programmes and projects are working towards successful outcomes that are delivered on time and within budget through the use of best practice methods and high-quality outputs.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting and delivering the transformation agenda across Mid and South Essex in partnership with all key stakeholders within the Mid and South Essex ICS.

The post holder will be expected to build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery.

The post holder will contribute to the development and implementation of the System Delivery Plan, ensuring that projects are closed effectively and where appropriate subsequently reviewed and lessons learned captured and actioned.

The post holder will work in collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure that services are joined up appropriately and are aligned to the achievement of the ICS aims and objectives.

  • Support service development, redesign and performance management for system wide projects from concept through to implementation, including changing working practice and system wide transformation.
