Job summary

We are recruiting two Finance Support Assistants for up to 6months (fixed-term contracts or secondments.) These are short term contracts due to staff departures and maternity leave. The successful candidates will help us to maintain continuity during a period of organisation change as the ICB transitions to a new structure. As a Band 3 Finance Support Assistant you will play a key role in keeping our financial processes running smoothly. Youll support payments, invoices, data entry and reporting, helping colleagues and providers with clear, accurate information. The role involves reviewing financial data, resolving discrepancies, preparing spreadsheets and managing your workload to meet deadlines. To succeed, youll bring strong organisation, good numeracy, attention to detail and a positive, teamfocused approach.

Main duties of the job

As a Finance Support Assistant, you will help the Finance Team deliver a smooth, reliable and accurate service. Youll support everyday financial activity, including payment processes, invoice queries, updating records and providing clear information to colleagues and external partners.

A key part of the role is helping to keep financial information organised and accurate. You'll check data, highlight anything that doesn't look right and work with colleagues to resolve issues. You'll also help prepare simple reports and spreadsheets that support the teams work and regular deadlines. Focus for the roles will be

Continuing Health Care (CHC) finance queries

Homecare drugs invoices

Non Contract Activity (NCA) invoice validation

Freedom of Information (FOI) request administration

Youll work closely with colleagues, contribute to a friendly & supportive team and communicate clearly with a range of people to help ensure the Finance Team continues to provide a dependable service.
