Job summary
The Chief Data and Information Officer (CDIO) at NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care Board (ICB) will be at the forefront of transforming health and care delivery through sophisticated data analysis and management, digital innovation, and technology integration. This role is essential in driving the implementation of the ICB Strategic Commissioning Plan, which aims to deliver better patient experience, improved patient outcomes, ensures interoperability across Providers and deliver financial sustainability. This role is supported and co-funded by Providers within our system.

Main duties of the job
The CDIO will provide strategic leadership across the system, being accountable for delivering digital, data, and innovation transformation for NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough in the pursuit of its objectives, and for overseeing the digital and data budgets and investment portfolio.
The CDIO will be accountable for the line management of existing ICB digital and data teams, while also providing leadership across the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System (ICS) ensuring there is sufficient capacity and capability within the digital and data teams to deliver strategic plans within agreed budgets and timescales, while continually developing a multidisciplinary leadership team.
The CDIO will lead efforts to enhance data governance, support evidence-based decision-making, foster a culture of digital excellence and establish robust Population Health Management (PHM) infrastructure to proactively manage and segment our populations.The CDIO is a member of the ICB Senior Leadership Team and will work with, and where necessary coordinate, clinical and non-clinical leaders, CIOs and finance partners on the continued balance of service needs, technical enablers and financial resources. Key partnerships include NHS Provider Executive Teams and Senior Management Teams, Local Authorities, NHSE National and Regional colleagues, Health Innovation East, Academic Institutions and suitable commercial partners to optimise the funding opportunities available.
